How CareResponse listens, decides, and rings.

An end-to-end look at the four moving parts: rules, routing, the call itself, and the audit trail you'll hand the inspector.

01 — Rules

Keywords your team already uses.

Start from our safeguarding library: falls, medication concerns, skin integrity, mood, nutrition, infection signs, missed visits, emergencies. Every rule is fully editable — the words are yours, not a black box.

  • Group keywords for co-occurrence (e.g. "fall" AND "head") to reduce noise.
  • Negation phrases — "no falls today" doesn't trigger a falls alert.
  • Severity drives the channel — HIGH means voice, MED/LOW means SMS.

Medication concerns HIGH

Skin integrity MED

Wellbeing — mood LOW

02 — Stakeholders

Each person, their own filter.

Family don't need to hear about every visit. The GP doesn't care about a missed visit. CareResponse routes the right severity to the right person, with quiet hours respected for non-emergencies.

  • Per-client routing — Mary only hears about her mum.
  • Per-severity preferences — the GP only takes high-severity medical alerts.
  • Quiet hours per stakeholder — emergencies always break through.

03 — The call

A phone rings. Someone answers.

For high-severity alerts, CareResponse places a real voice call. The on-call manager hears: "CareResponse alert. Margaret H., possible fall. Press 1 to acknowledge, 2 to escalate." No app. No login. Just a phone.

  • Auto-fallback to SMS if the call isn't answered in 20s.
  • On-call rota: if Jane doesn't answer in 60s, the call escalates to Tom.
  • UK premium-rate-free numbers — never costs the receiver anything.

  • CSV upload fallback works with any care planning system.
  • Read-only access — we never modify your care records.
